In an incredible first for human spaceflight, astronauts will soon blast off to explore Earth's polar regions from space - and they want to hear YOUR questions!

The Fram2 crew will make history as they orbit Earth at a mind-bending speed of 17,500 mph, travelling from the North Pole to the South Pole! During their pioneering 3-5 day mission, they'll observe Earth's polar regions and study mysterious aurora-like lights called STEVE (Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement) that appear 250-310 miles above Earth.

Here's the exciting part: You could be there too! Record a video question (up to 30 seconds) and you could appear on screen alongside the astronauts as they answer your question from orbit. Imagine seeing yourself floating next to the crew! 12 lucky students will be selected to have their questions answered during this historic mission.

Want to be part of space history? Record your video question asking the crew anything about space or their groundbreaking mission.

Your teacher can then share the video on the ootiboo digital platform, provided parental consent has been given.

The project is open to all primary or secondary school students worldwide.

Deadline for entries: February 7, 2025.

Go to ootiboo.com to find out how to take part, and see the best way to record your video. Teachers can then sign up to ootiboo for free (everything at ootiboo is always free) to share your questions.
