iDEA at the Nationwide Money Matters LIVE! event in Stoke-on-Trent

On the 6th of December, Nationwide Building Society hosted Money Matters LIVE!, a cost-of-living themed event at The Potteries Museum in Stoke-on-Trent. 

This event was open to the public for everyone to come ask questions, make connections and get support for concerns surrounding the cost-of-living crisis. 

The aim of the event was to break down barriers linked to talking about money and to offer attendees useful hints and tips to help manage their finances and make their money stretch further. The event had seminars, workshops, and an exhibition area for people to speak to organisations that provide various types of support. 

iDEA Foundation is a partner of Nationwide Building Society and we were invited to host a booth in the exhibition area to share information about iDEA badges and how learning digital and enterprise skills can help with saving and managing money, staying safe online, and being resourceful, especially at times of need. 

It was an eventful day of getting to know members of the community, other local charities and financial wellbeing businesses (it was an added bonus to all be inside The Spitfire Gallery next to the RAF aeroplane together!), talking to members of the public, and listening to insightful keynotes and panel discussions about how everyone can get support and improve their financial wellbeing.
