iDEA is excited to be working with The Curve, the free digital hub at The Warren Youth Project in Hull to help young people learn new skills and gain digital confidence.
The Warren is a resource centre that provides vital support to young people, including guidance, training, education, counselling, career support and activities for creative expression.
The Curve is The Warren’s new advanced tech and software project for young people – a dedicated space to learn, create, build, and have fun experimenting with new technology. iDEA is being used in The Curve for independent learning, as a part of lessons and workshops, and for their 12-Hour Digital Challenge!
On 1 December, iDEA had the chance to visit The Warren to host a big discussion with the educators and young people at The Curve to learn about their experiences, to understand how they feel about learning online and how they think iDEA may be able to help them in the future, and to find out how iDEA can better support their programme.
We were thrilled to hear so much insight and so many thoughtful ideas for how iDEA can continue to improve, and to find out that one learner at The Warren had just completed every badge available on iDEA so far! We were also happy to bring home a little souvenir - a 12-Hour Digital Challenge trophy (in the shape of the iDEA logo) that was designed and 3D printed by the young people.
A huge thank you to the team at The Warren for welcoming iDEA into your youth centre and to be a part of your wonderful community!
