NEW iDEA Gold Badge: Digital Ethics

iDEA has partnered up with Digital Xtra Fund and the Ethical Digital Nation Team at Scottish Government to create a Gold-level badge on digital ethics - now live on iDEA!

You may already know that we have a Bronze-level Digital Ethics badge that covers the basics. The new Gold badge explores the complexities of digital ethics on a deeper level and teaches learners how to think critically about digital innovation and ways we can embed ethical principles into the creation and use of products, tools, and services.

In this badge, you will:

• Learn about the ethical impact that digital innovation can have on individuals, society, and the world as a whole
• Apply a Digital Ethics Guide that you can take away with you
• Connect digital ethics to values and translate them into actions
• Discover the role of a digital ethicist and learn how to think like one
• Explore some ethical dilemmas in a scenario-based challenge
• Reflect on how you can be a responsible digital citizen
